Personality disorders are enveloping constant psychological
disorders, which can seriously affect people’s life. Having a
personality disorder can leave a harmful affect on job, family and
also on social life. Narcissistic personality disorder is a state
characterized by an overblown thinking of self-importance, requirement
for admiration, excessive self involvement, and lack of empathy for
others. When a person looses control over his mind, behavior, body
activities etc. that situation is known as borderline personality
disorder. It generally happens due to more work stress or external
pressure etc.
Narcissistic borderline personality disorder is defined as a
pattern of splendor in the victim’s personal fantasies or outward
behavior; a requirement for constant admiration from others; and a
lack of sympathy for others. In this disorder, a victim person needs
importance or specialness. The word narcissistic is derived from a
Greek word Narcissus. The infected person has many symptoms like
he/she will give more importance to themselves only, without caring
about anything; they think themselves very superior then anybody
else. He/she lives in a world of special success, genius, power and
extraordinary. Sometimes, they think themselves very special &
privileged and can be understood by the high standard people.
The most common symptom is that they demand excessive amount of
good compliments and praise from others. Whatever they may be doing,
in their own thinking, they are the hero and they give an impression
of a very responsible person and very caring for their family and
friends. They start ignoring others whether friends or family members.
A victim person of narcissistic borderline personality disorder is
exploitative toward other persons and takes advantage of them. This
person also lack in empathy and does not care for other’s feelings and
emotions. These people have very much attitude and acts in arrogant
ways with others like family and friends.
At present, there are two most important theories about the source
and nature of narcissistic personality disorder. Primary theory
depends as a form of arrested psychological development while the
other regards it as a young child's defense against psychological
pain. Narcissistic personality disorder is an example of self
centered behavior which shows up in mentality and way of behaving in
different situations and actions.
Victim people does not change their behavior even when they face
problems at work, home, friend circle and also when other people
complain about their rude behavior. This type of disorder is not
caused by drug or alcohol use, head injury or any other illness but it
steadily starts since adolescence or early adulthood.
In the other terms, narcissistic indicate ridiculous vanity and are
practical to people whose ambitions and aspirations are much grander
than their obvious talents. Narcissistic borderline personality
disorder is a very dangerous and serious disorder. This disorder can
spoil a person’s life. It is nowadays very common in the whole world
and we can find thousands of cases of this disorder. We can get a good
